Biography
Alexander Seifalian, Professor of Nanotechnology and Regenerative Medicine worked at the Royal Free Hospital and University College London for over 26 years, during this time he spent a period of time at Harvard Medical School looking at caused of cardiovascular diseases and a year at Johns Hopkins Medical School looking at treatment of liver. He published more than 647 peer-reviewed research papers, and registered 14 UK and International patents. He is currently CEO of NanoRegMed Ltd, working on the commercialisation of his research. During his career Prof Seifalian has led and managed many large projects with successful outcomes in terms of commercialisation and translation to patients. In 2007 he was awarded the top prize in the field for the development of nanomaterials and technologies for cardiovascular implants by Medical Future Innovation, and in 2009 he received a Business Innovation Award from UK Trade & Investment (UKTI). He was the European Life Science Awards’ Winner of Most Innovative New Product 2012 for the “synthetic tracheaâ€. Prof Seifalian won the Nanosmat Prize in 2013 and in 2016 he received the Distinguish Research Award in recognition of his outstanding work in regenerative medicine from Heals Healthy Life Extension Society. His achievements include development of the world first synthetic trachea, lacrimal drainage conduit, and vascular bypass graft using nanocomposite materials, bioactive molecules and stem cell technology. He has over 15,000 media report from his achievement, include BBC, ITV, WSJ, CNN, and many more. Currently he is working on development and commercialisation of human organs using graphene based nanocomposite materials and stem cells technology.

Biography
Ajay Kumar Mishra (MSc, MPhil, PhD, CSci, FRSC) is a full Professor at the Nanotechnology and Water Sustainability Research Unit at College of Science, Engineering & Technology, University of South Africa, Florida Science Campus, South Africa. Prof. Mishra is currently working for University of South Africa as “Full Professor†since January 2015. He is also working as “Adjunct Professor†at Jiangsu University, China. Prof Mishra recently recognised as “Fellow member†and “Chartered Scientist†by Royal Society of Chemistry, UK. Prof AK Mishra research interest involves in the broader areas of Nanoscience/Nanotechnology; Materials Science; Polymers; Composite/Nanocomposites; Photocatalysts and Water Research. He is also actively involved in the area of nanotechnology towards the development of smart materials for various applications in the field of materials science and water research. He supervises students involved in the nanotechnology and water treatment research in projects involving organic, inorganic pollutants from both synthetic and waste water solutions. His research focuses aims at developing a protocol which may lead to developing a technology which may be utilized for industrial purposes. He has delivered a number of including Plenary/Keynote/Invited Lectures. For his outstanding research profile, he was awarded a number of international awards. Prof. Mishra also served as Associate Editor as well as member of the editorial board of many peer-reviewed international journals. He has edited several books by the renowned publishers and also reviewer of many international journals. He is serving as member advisory board of a number of international scientific societies, conferences and workshops.

Biography
Professor Bo Lei got his Ph.D degree in Biomedical Materials from South China University of Technology, China in 2007 and 2010. From 2011 to 2013, he worked as a research professor and visiting professor in the Department of Dental Materials of Korea University and Seoul National University, Korea. Then he became a full Professor at the Frontier Institute of Science and Technology in Xi’an Jiaotong University in 2013. Professor Lei has published more than 70 peer-reviewed SCI papers in the field of Biomaterials Science including Advanced Functional Materials, ACS Nano, Biomaterials, Advanced Healthcare Materials, Acta Biomater and so on, with a total citation above 1200 times and 10 patents. He was also the guest editor of “Frontiers in Chemistryâ€.She has published widely in the field of biomaterials and guest member on the editorial boards of a number of journals and reviewer for over 12 journals She was awarded the ‘Biocompatibles UK’ prize in 2008 by the UK Society for biomaterials for her significant contribution to the field of biomaterials.
